House policy · § returns
If a record doesn't land, send it back.
Fourteen days from the moment it arrives at your door — no reason required, no questions, no hard feelings.
I. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with EU consumer protection law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier) physically receives the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (for example, an email to hello@72records.be). You may use the standard withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
One exception: tickets for events on a specific date are exempt from the right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. Ticket sales are final.
A second exception applies to sealed audio and video recordings — including vinyl records and CDs sold shrink-wrapped. Once you break the seal after delivery, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that item, in accordance with Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. Items whose seal is still intact remain fully eligible.
II. Conditions for returns
What we need to take it back.
To be eligible for a return, items must meet the following conditions:
- The record must be in its original, unopened shrink wrap (if it was sealed when sold)
- Used or unsealed records must be returned in the same condition as received
- The item must not show any additional signs of wear, damage, or use
- All original packaging, inserts, and accessories must be included
Please note that we cannot accept returns on items that have been played, damaged after delivery, or are missing original components. Records sold as "sealed" that have been opened are no longer eligible for return.
III. How to return an item
Three steps.
-
i.
Write to us.
Email hello@72records.be with your order number and the reason for your return. We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions.
-
ii.
Pack it and post it.
Pack the record securely (ideally in a record mailer) and ship it to the address we provide. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item was defective or we made an error.
-
iii.
Refund lands within five days.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 5 business days. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the transaction.
IV. Defective or damaged items
If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange a free return and send you a replacement or issue a full refund, including original shipping costs.
V. Legal guarantee
The legal side, plainly.
Beyond the 14-day return window, everything we sell is covered by the legal conformity guarantee under Belgian consumer law: two years on new records. For second-hand records we expressly agree a guarantee period of one year, as Belgian law permits for used goods — stated here in writing.
For second-hand records, the condition grade stated at the time of sale is part of the deal — wear consistent with that grade is not a defect. A record that does not match its description or grading is, and we will make it right with a replacement or a refund.
If you discover a defect, let us know within two months of noticing it — email hello@72records.be with your order number and a description. Photos help.
